About Youzar

Youzar (pronounced Jo-zar) is an Artist, Ceremonial Leader, and Practitioner of Natural and Psychedelic Medicine. A teacher of Traditional Kundalini Yoga and Sound Healing, his work bridges ancient wisdom and modern healing through ceremony, music, and meditation.

After completing over 600 hours of Yoga Alliance–certified training and apprenticing in Bufo Alvarius and Kambo facilitation in Mayan Mexico, Youzar has guided nearly 1,000 ceremonies across six countries and four continents.

He serves on the Sangha Council at the Detroit Zen Center and holds certification in Risk Assessment and Crisis Intervention in Psychedelic Ceremonies. His teachings are informed by years spent living with Shamans, Yogis, and Healers worldwide, offering experiences that awaken remembrance, harmony, and divine connection.

  • Big Fam Music & Arts Festival - Brooklyn, Michigan - September, 2025

    Collaborated with vendor Cannabee Extracts to offer an exclusive lounge experience in a large, fully equipped tent on the festival grounds.

  • Otter Creek Lodge Day of Meditation & Fire Ceremony - Monroe, Michigan - September, 2025

    - Provided MC support to the event host and musical accompaniment. 

    - Kicked off the event with native american flute playing to “Welcome the sun” at sunrise.

    - Led a group meditation focused on forgiveness with live sound bath.

  • Barefoot & Free Yoga & Wellness Festival - Commerce, Michigan - August, 2025

    - Led a full capacity Yoga and Meditation workshop with live sound healing in the main Yoga Tent. View here.
